Overview
Sajdah Silent is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services included in the app.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Name, email address, or any account information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage statistics or analytics
- Crash reports sent to any external server
Data stored on your device
Sajdah Silent saves your prayer-time preferences (times, silent durations, and on/off toggles) exclusively on your device using the Android Preferences API. This data never leaves your device and is only used to schedule the alarms you configure.
Permissions used and why
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to fire alarms at the exact prayer time you set.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to reschedule alarms automatically after a device restart.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show a status notification while the phone is on vibrate during a prayer and another when the ringer is restored.
- WAKE_LOCK — to briefly keep the processor awake when an alarm fires so the ringer change and notification are applied before the device goes back to sleep.
- VIBRATE — to switch the phone to vibrate mode at prayer time and play a short confirmation vibration when the ringer mode changes.
Third-party services
Sajdah Silent does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, crash-reporting services, or advertising networks. No data is shared with any third party.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
